Clean up Nepal is a for-purpose, non-governmental organization registered in Nepal in 2014 that envisions communities having access to a solid waste management and water, sanitation and hygiene system with the associated knowledge and resources that will enable them to live a healthy, disease-free life. It provides an enabling environment by connecting, educating and empowering local communities and relevant stakeholders through a people-centered, solution-based approach.
During this visit Mr. Koshish K Arjal (Program Co-ordinator), Preety Pradhananga (Program Officer), Diwakar Adhikari (Program Officer) and Rabindra Lamichanne (Program Manager) of Clean Nepal were given a tour of Rikishi Compost site in Madhyapur Thimi.
The exploration of the site after starting with explaining what Tokozai is and why it is a crucial component in our compost production. The site visit was further explored by showing the waste collected every Tuesday from Ward 4 and Ward 5, and doing the treatment using the CNBM technology.
