更新日:2020年12月17日

What is Rapti City?

Rapti is one of the fourteen zones, located in the Mid-Western Development Region of Nepal. Rapti has an abundant level and gently-sloping land with fair to good soil development, and abundant groundwater.

Why Rapti City?

A city of good quality of soil and abundant groundwater is a key reason for Rikishi Compost to choose for the compost production. In addition, a number of farmers use chemical fertilizers for the harvest of the crops which means the quality of soil will degrade and also make the groundwater unsustainable.

Using Rikishi Compost will not only help to harvest good chemical-free crops but also make the groundwater clean and soil fertile. We as a company want to take a small step towards humanity and wants to eradicate the use of chemical fertilizers will is leading to long term chronic diseases all around the world.

Rikishi Compost's role in Rapti City?

We are a Japanese compost company based in Nepal, where we have been using the technology approved and implemented by an expert from Japan for years. We as a company work for sustainable development in the world we live in, so we make compost of all kinds like from red mud, woods, leaves, sugarcane and many more.

In addition, we have also been using the technology of collection of waste for making chemical-free compost for the soils that have been degraded with chemicals for a long time.

Our side of contribution to the Rapti city is as follows;

1) Collection of garbage as a means of waste management and to reduce pollution.

2) Provide a special ingredient called "Tokozai" for the people in Rapti city to preserve the waste with no foul smell and does not spoil the food waste.

3) Employment opportunities for the locals in Rapti City.

4) Awareness on the harmful impact of chemical fertilizers that we consume on a daily basis.

5) Encouragement of youths to participate in this program because they are the future of the world we live in.
